Natukunda Diana

Natukunda Diana is a Ugandan human rights defender, activist, and dedicated community mentor with over 15 years of experience advocating for the rights and well-being of female sex workers. As the Executive Director of Give a Hand Foundation—a sex worker-led organization in Uganda—she tirelessly champions the rights of female sex workers in all their diversities, challenging discriminatory policies and laws that perpetuate stigma and marginalization.

Passionate about media advocacy, Natukunda amplifies the voices of sex workers by bringing their issues to public attention, fostering greater awareness and social change. She also holds key representation roles on multiple advocacy platforms, including the Most at Risk Populations Steering Committee at the Ministry of Health, the HIV Stigma and Discrimination Committee at the Uganda AIDS Commission, and the Ethics Committee at the Wakiso District NGO Forum.

Through her leadership and activism, Natukunda Diana continues to fight for the dignity, health, and rights of sex workers, ensuring their inclusion in critical policy discussions and advancing their socio-economic empowerment in Uganda.
